Yes, if you are interested in playing easy acoustic songs, learn your basic major and minor chords first. Like E,G,A,B,D,C. For some extra guidence you can use the easy chord finder at logue.net/chords/index.htm Thanks for posting here in our new forum. Feel free to post anytime!

I know all the standard chords, how should I go about learning easy acoustic songs. I can play bits and pieces of stuff, but not full songs.
thanks

First off, make sure you stay here and learn from the free lessons. They are the best and easiest to learn on the net. Begin by learning "how to read tablature" and then begin learning the basic chords C,G,A,E and D. You'll find some very easy to play songs in the free lessons archive, and in the free downloads, you'll also find a free chordfinder that can show you all the chords. Also see the free guitar chords lessons offered by Scott Morris. Here's the link.... www.guitartabbooks.com/freelessons/chords.htmBut seriously, you will learn more at guitartabbooks than anywhere. A good easy song to try for beginners that's in the free lessons is "Hey Joe" by Jimi Hendrix, and some of the Nirvana. I think I'll make a good list of the easy ones and post it here. Best wishes bud!

I tried a few out and a couple sound good. I'm still learning to piece stuff together for full songs and I've started lessons. I am trying to put in an hour or 2 a day, so hopefully I'll have some good sounds soon. Pink Floyd Money sounds awesome from the free section. I can play it exact and it sounds good.
