Have you ever wanted to be the guitarist on Halloween
who can entertain everyone at Halloween parties and
play all the most popular & cool Halloween songs?
If so, I've got some good news for you.
This past weekend, I decided to surf the web and
see just what's available for guitar players who
want to learn some cool Halloween songs.
When I started this project, I thought...
"This shouldn't take long".
WRONG!
As usual, all I could find were tabs to Halloween songs
that were either TOTALLY incorrect, or had the most important
missing notes and chords. What I thought was going to take
a few minutes, ended up taking me the past 4 days!
I literally searched every where and every site you could imagine.
Then I thought to myself...
How many other thousands? millions? of people who play guitar
have had the same frustrating experience?
And aside from becoming frustrated when trying to learn a song
from using tabs (because you can hear that it sounds wrong as
you're trying to learn the song(s) you like)...
For those who don't know any better, and practice hard learning
from an incorrect tab, all I can say is OUCH!
Learning music is just like learning math or anything else.
If you learn it right to begin with, you're good to go.
But if you learn something wrong, and have really practiced hard,
pounding it into you're head, that's a HUGE problem.
As once you have learned something wrong, it makes it even
harder to try to turn around and learn it right.
So I decided to devote the past few days listening to
all the original versions of all the most popular Halloween
songs, and decided to create them into easy to play versions
for you to learn and play.
The songs I tabbed for you are;
The Monster Mash
The Adams Family
Werewolves Of London
and The Munsters Theme Song (2 easy to play versions),
one of which I tabbed in a "Drop D" tuning, so that
when you play it as a single guitarist, it covers the
sounds of all the other instruments that were originally
played by the entire orchestra.
Here's the link to the first song (The Monster Mash)

On this page, I added all the links to the other songs
so they would be easy for you to find.
All these tabs are 100% correct, with the exception
of the Munsters Theme Song. I fixed that however
so it all sounds the best it can when being played
by just 1 guitarist.
As I watched and listened to all the different versions
that exist on YouTube, I came to discover that throughout
the years while the different Munsters TV shows were being
filmed, that they had changed and altered the music to
the original version, to several different versions, which
would leave even the most trained professional guitarist
asking themselves... "Which one of these is right? And
how do I find a tab to any of these that's even close to
being right"?!
Playing the guitar is all about having fun.
And being able to play something and make it sound right,
surly makes ALL the difference in the world than playing
it wrong and having someone throw a pumpkin at you!
So I'm hoping that if you've been looking to learn some
of the most popular Halloween songs, that these easy to
play tab versions will be of help to you so that you can
have fun jamming some spooky classic Halloween hits this
Halloween.
Something else that can easily be overlooked (because our site
is one of the biggest guitar sites online) is our
Free Lessons Archive
That consist of a TON of guitar tabs from Blues, Jazz...
to Country, Rock, Southern Rock, Punk and Heavy Metal.
