Have you ever wondered how some of your favorite
bass guitar players will make a "chime-like" sound
on their bass that sounds like a magic trick,
something similar to one of the many magic
sounds that Eddie Van Halen would play on
his guitar?
Harmonics are used by every professional bassists
from Geddy Lee of "Rush" to Billy Sheehan, Stu Hamm,
the list goes on...
Harmonics are NOT notes that you actually push down
on the frets of the bass guitar. In fact, they're
just the opposite!
Harmonics are notes that you "don't" push down, or
fret to play. And harmonics make all the difference in
the world when it comes to adding a whole new sound
to your bass guitar playing.
This is best explained by professional bass instructor
Roy Vogt. You can read more and watch Roy's free videos
by reading this new article that Roy was kind enough
to share.

Hopefully this will provide you with some
great insight and new ideas that you can use
to create some great new and cool sounds
on your bass guitar!
