Although I mainly play guitar, I play bass too and have been struggling for years to play bass like a lead guitar like Cliff Burton did. I just got those lessons I found at the top of this page by Roy Vogt called "Teach Me Bass Guitar" and he teaches all the bass guitar scales and chords that Cliff used to play that solo. It's amazing how much that guy Roy knows and now I actually know what it is I'm playing. If you guys are really into bass you should get these lessons. I'm even able to make up my solos now after learning from his course. Thanks to the guys running this forum for putting that link on this page. This course is brilliant and easy to learn from.

I was shocked when I read your post about Roy Vogt's bass lessons. I haven't come here to visit the forum for quite a while because I've been working 12 hour days, 7 days a week and it's really been wearing me down and cut my playing time and practice time into nearly nothing. But I just got that same course Teach Me Bass Guitar 3 weeks ago, and since I got it (although I started as a guitarist and that is...well, used to be my main instrument) I learned more stuff from Roys lessons than I've learned in my entire lifetime about playing the guitar or the bass. And the thing I found amazing is that all the stuff that Roy teaches, is the exact same thing guitar players use and play, so what I've learned so far from learning from Roy's method is that anything you learn from his bass lessons can also be adapted to the guitar. And now everything is tying together and coming together as 1 big picture for me and not only did I learn a ton of cool and useful bass guitar chords and scales, but I discovered that you can play those very same chords and scales on the guitar and how they all tie together! So this course isn't just for somebody who wants to learn how to play bass, it's for anyone who wants to learn bass and guitar. The only thing I think they did wrong was name the course Teach Me Bass Guitar. I think they should have named it Teach Me Bass & Guitar. ;D You were right in your post and I think these are the best and better than any bass or guitar lessons I've ever tried and I've bought almost everyone of them. I think that aside from the knowledge that Roy teaches, it's the way he explains everything and makes it so easy to learn and understand, and my very favorite feature of Roy's lessons is the Real-Time Fretboard that lights up like some kind of cool video game and shows you every single note that your supposed to play. Ya buddy! This guys course is the best and it absolutely rocks. If I were ever lucky enough to meet this guy I would tell him to I'm going to try to come here more often and try to share some of the stuff I've learned from Roy so maybe I can help some other bass (and guitar players) learn some of the most important things that will really help them. I don't have a tab writing program, but I'll try my best to give good explanations. Well...gotta roll. Have to start work at 5:00 a.m. again Everyone here have a good one! Anthony
