1} You must let people understand what you are singing about: No screaming highs or Demonic lowering of your voice.
2} You must tell a story: Do not put a bunch of words together that rhythms.
3} You must diversify yourself from others song on the radio: Have your own distinctive style
4} You must change within your own CD: Do not use the same song speed-up or slowed-down throughout the CD.
5} You mustn’t preach what you’re trying to sell: It’s a form of entertainment only and not a Religion.
6} You must not take yourself to seriously: If you can’t laugh at yourself then your working to hard at it.
7} You mustn’t think a band is a Marriage: It’s more like a Brotherhood instead remember all marriages end up in divorce but a Brother will love you unconditionally.
8} You must tour everywhere to sell yourself: Do not pick and choose your destinations.
9} You must remember to please yourself first musically: The fans will respect you more for not following trends.
10} You must learn how to write songs for yourself: Remember the person who write gets most of the profits.
11} You must learn to be a professional performer: Getting the audience in on the action sells more in the long-run.
12} You mustn’t take drugs nor drink yourself to death: Being in a Rock Band doesn’t mean killing yourself, and remember to wear condoms because diseases and becoming a parent isn’t easy and it’s very expensive too.
13} You mustn’t believe in the hype: Remember as long as you believe in yourself and not what the headlines writes about you, you will live a happier and longer life.
14} You must remember that the fans put you on top of the charts: You must respect them first for as long as you’re in the band and if you betray them, in the long-run. They will NOT buy your music; this is the most important rule of the band’s success.
15} You must find a reputable team of people for yourself and that mean a lot research: If you just pick out the people that the Record Company gives you to work the “Management, Promotions, Finances, Agents, and Investors departments” on you’re behave, You’ll find yourself retired and millions in debt. So BEWARE!

10 Ways To Self Promote Yourself For A Recording Contract
1} Never over load a package with lots of useless stuff for Record Companies to look at.
2} Placing your top best 3 or 4 songs on a professionally made demo CD.
3} Never send your Master Copies.
4} Always make sure that your tape or CD is in the beginning to make it easier for the Record Companies.
5} Make sure to have a copyright symbol on everything you send i.e. “ © “.
6} Always send with your Demo a Lyrical Sheet, so the person can read what you’re singing about.
7} The cover letter should always be short and to the point, “ Brief ”.
I.E.
a) Address it a specific person in the Record Company.
b) State your purpose in sending the Demo getting a publisher or a Record Deal.
c) Significant professional credit of your submissions.
d) Include ideas if going to another Artist.
e) Ask for feedback like comments.
f) List in order the list of songs that you’re sending them in.
g) Thank them you taking the time and attention to hear your stuff.
h) Include you complete address, phone numbers and E-Mail Address.
8} Sending a Self Address Stamp Envelope is a way to insure that you might get your stuff back.
9} Put you Vidal information like Address and Phone Numbers on your Demo.
10} And make sure to have the right amount of postage and handling on you promotional package.
